Orange Cat Events is run by Kendra Wenzel, a digital marketing specialist who is also an accomplished racing cyclist, writer and coach. Promoting her coaching business in the early 2000s, she found that most digital marketing services were directed at businesses with much bigger budgets. They didn’t have the sole proprietor or home-based business in mind. She set out to learn web design, search engine optimization, content marketing, pay-per-click advertising and other facets of marketing in the digital world for true small business. Soon, she began helping friends optimize their websites and Google Ads for their blogs and small businesses, and the demand kept growing. Now she helps true small businesses increase their online visibility and tie their digital campaigns to their complete marketing approach. With Kendra and Orange Cat Events, the void left in marketing services for small and micro businesses is filled with affordable services.

She has written articles and been interviewed for publications such as Bicycling Magazine, Men’s Health, Velonews and others. Kendra continues to write and edit articles for the wenzelcoaching.com website.
Kendra has over 30 years of experience in cycling, and has been coaching all levels of cyclists since 1994 as a Head Coach and partner of Wenzel Coaching, a company that helps cyclists, triathletes, runners, and other endurance athletes to reach their goals.
In her management and event work capacities, Kendra has been involved with bike events, races and festivals, including the Sea Otter Classic from 2004 to 2012. She has worked as race/ride staff for the Tour de Hood, Cascade Cycling Classic, Mt Hood Cycling Classic, Cougar Mountain Classic, San Jose Classic, and US Bicycling Hall of Fame Gran Fondo. She was part of the management team for the Subway Pro Cycling Team in 2004 and 2005.
Kendra was on the US National Cycling Team for seven of her 11 years as a professional cyclist. She won a gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games in Cuba, was a Collegiate All-American, and was a 15-time US National Championship medalist.
Kendra directed Wenzel Coaching from 1995 to 2003, maintaining a yearly minimum growth rate of 15% after she retired from active racing at the end of 1999. She has now expanded into other areas since Wenzel Coaching took on its first CEO in 2003.
